The Animal Rescue Site

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called RainbowBridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

Thank you for visiting my website that I have created for my Boxer girls Zoe and Miss Magic.

Originally this website started off to show pictures of my girl Zoe who I adopted from the Humane Society in May of 2003.  It has now grown to include my recent addition, Miss Magic, Boxer Rescue information, helpful info for people with dogs that suffer from Separation Anxiety, and Cushings Disease.

I have also added pages about Chaining of Animals, why it is not good, and why we need to help get these animals off of their chaines.

Zoe is now 4 1/2 year old.  Zoe is what got me started in learning about Boxer Rescue, and eventually into fostering for Rescue.  And forever, I will love her for this.  (Not only just for this, but for her quirks and uniqueness as an animal).

What's New?

1/21/06 - Miss Magic, my 7 year old foster girl, has now been with me for 5 months.  In this time, she has overcome 2 nasty bladder infections, gained some needed weight, and is learning that it is okay to be home alone.

1/25/06 - This is a new start for my website.  On my first website, I was almost exceeding my available space on a daily basis.  So this is my try at a new service.

2/18/06 - IT IS OFFICIAL!!!  I have decided to adopt my foster girl Miss Magic!!!!

3/08/06 - Miss Magic will be going on 3/10 to have another bump removed and gum surgery.  Please send healing vibes for a fast recovery.

3/10/06 - Miss Magic was not able to get her surgery done because the "Office Manager" screwed up!!!  The lady asked if I wanted a Friday Appointment because there were still openings.  When we arrived, I was told that there would not be a doctor there until that afternoon.  So needless to say I am very angry, and have had to reschedule the appointment.  I have told the office that I do not want to come in when she is working because of this.  We will now see how Wednesday goes.

On 3/18/06 Zoe will start her first Tracking Class.  Stay tuned for updates on how it goes.

11/21/06 - Well it has been awhile since I have had a chance to update the site.  The girls and I have all moved into our new house - FINALLY - which is my very first 'owning' experience!!  I am currently foster Stormie, who is approx. 10 years old (that was in April).

The tracking class that Zoe and I went to was fun, but it really didn't hold her attention for too long.  She prefers agility more than this, which I hope to get her into again next year when we are all settled in the new house and I have more time (if there is ever such a thing)!!

1/6/07 - Some pages on this site had to be removed due to lack of time to maintain the site.   Maybe sometime in the future they will be back.

7/20/07 - Stormie has crossed the Bridge.  She will be watching over us until we meet again.  God Speed old girl!!  I will forever miss you, and keep you in my heart.

Love,
mama
